v0.2.0

Fights you can read

  • The camera now keeps the fight in view: it leans toward enemies beside you, eases out a little when a crowd spreads, and in landscape keeps them clear of the buttons on the right.
  • Masts, crane legs, posts and rails turn see-through when they stand in front of you or an enemy.
  • Hits land harder: struck enemies flash, deflects hold for a blink (longest on a perfect one), and big blows shake the camera a little. Phones set to reduce motion get no shake.
  • Gaff's Anchor Slam and Charge can't be deflected, so they now show in orange with a ground zone that fills as the blow lands: orange means get out of the way.
  • The Crane Yard has real cranes now, and the pier and Gaff's deck have more to look at: painted edges by the water, tarred boards, mooring ropes and hatches.
  • The Gauntlets are brass with glowing gold cuffs, so you can see them on a phone.
  • The first lesson waits until you actually hit someone; win screens are clean, and their stars pop in one by one.
  • Still early: no sounds yet, and the characters will be rebuilt.
v0.1.0

Chapter 1: The Docks

  • The flow combat from the Resonance demo is now its own game, with a story.
  • Chapter 1, The Docks: a prologue, five fights and an epilogue. Fight across Pier Three, the Net Sheds, the Fish Market and the Crane Yard, then face Gaff on his deck.
  • Three weapons: the Bell Baton, the Gauntlets (every third hit lands twice) and the Glaive (sweeps a crowd and knocks it back). Carry two and SWAP mid-fight; a swap right after a hit speeds up your next strike.
  • Water edges: knock enemies off the pier for a ring-out. Gaff telegraphs a sweep, an anchor slam and a charge, calls his crew at half health and speeds up near the end.
  • Each fight earns up to three stars for time, combo and damage taken. Arena mode keeps the six-wave run with any weapons.
  • Phones play in portrait or landscape with touch controls; keyboard and gamepad work too.
  • Early build: no sounds yet, and the characters will be rebuilt.
